OBJECTIVES

To extend technology support for the sustainable sericulture and to attain self-sufficiency in much needed quality of bivoltine silk.

To establish good and tenable links with State Governments, Central Government and other similar Organizaons working for the cause of Silk Industry both within and outside the country.

To form a crisis management group to tackle the problems encountered in various sectors of the industry.

To establish Sericulture Information Centre and Library.

To establish a silk museum to display and to showcase different activities of the industry including the historical background and making it a place of tourist attraction.

To seek representation in policy making committees constituted by Government organizations and involve in policy decisions for the benefit of the stake holders.
